From the first conversation with Sam about my 4yr daughter’s speech she put me at ease and made the concerns I had about my daughter’s speech feel justified. After that initial phone call which was very reassuring Sam asked me to supply her with a video of my daughter speaking so that she could get an idea of her speech while we waited for the initial assessment to take place. From that video not only did it show Sam that my daughter did indeed have a severe speech sound disorder but Sam also picked up on something that we had never noticed before – my daughter had her mouth open even at rest. Unbeknown to us this is a signal that she was a mouth breather that could lead to health problems as she gets older.

At the initial assessment with Sam she looked inside my daughter’s mouth and despite her having a tongue-tie release after she was born Sam suspected that it had reattached. Something that I was not aware could happen. Due to the reattachment Sam explained that it was contributing to the difficulties my daughter was having with her speech sound production and it was also causing problems to her palate as the tongue was lying low in her mouth rather than resting at the top. Sam also explained that it could also be why my daughter was a slow and fussy eater, something that I thought was just one of those childhood things. It also explained why my daughter would hold water in her mouth before swallowing.

Sam suggested that we look into Myofunctional Therapy as she believed that not only would it help improve my daughter’s health but also her speech as well. We had never heard of Myofunctional therapy and thought it was ‘just a fad’ therapy. But nonetheless we took on her advice and did start the therapy and got my daughters tongue-tie released carried out again.

I am so glad that we met Sam and that she had the knowledge of Myofunctional Therapy as already in a short amount of time the therapy has made a huge difference, not only to my daughter’s health but her speech. In addition to the speech therapy with Sam she introduced us to Talk Tools where we use a horn blowing hierarchy to help my daughter coordinate her breathing to use her diaphragm to breath rather than just her chest. My daughter loves working her way through the various different horns and gives her the motivation to practise using them as she wants to see what is next in the series.

Sam also introduced us to a straw drinking hierarchy where we have to use a variety of different straws to help my daughter increase the tone in her lips and tongue for drinking, This has helped my daughter to learn how to raise the tip and sides of her tongue for drinking and speech sounds. Something that we all take for granted. The straws are different in lengths and shapes which amuses my daughter and also gives her the drive to want to get to the next straw,

Sam had a natural rapport which endeared her to my daughter, she makes each session fun and engaging. In the 11 months that we have been seeing Sam my daughter’s speech has improved immensely and her confidence has grown as people understand her more and more. I am forever grateful for all the advice and therapy that Sam has given me and my daughter.

My daughter could speak well, but at 8 years old had become conscious of a lisp in her speech. I'd tried to give her some coaching myself but it wasn't helping.

Sam gave her exercises which produced an immediate improvement, but also was quick to look to the root of the problem, liaising with an orthodontist, and also making use of an innovative treatment using a paste on the roof of the mouth to aid tongue placement.

Sam has a great way with children, making sessions fun and never a chore. We are so pleased we sought her help and couldn't be happier.

Sam was extremely accommodating in speaking to me so promptly when I first contacted her via an online website and in scheduling an appointment swiftly despite her busy client load, due to my concerns at the time about my 2-year-old daughter’s speech.

She performed an initial assessment based on video evidence provided by us and I then had a parent-only remote session with her, where she explained the methods and approaches to use. This session worked well, and I was then able to implement these in my interactions with my daughter in the coming months. We subsequently had an in-person appointment with her, where she modelled methods of playing with my daughter to encourage speech. This was an extremely helpful session, and she established an instant rapport with my daughter and was very encouraging to her. I was also able to see the methods in action which was very useful. In the second and final in-person session a few months later, she performed an assessment and explained her progress clearly to me. I was delighted with the progress my daughter made, such that further sessions are not required, and am extremely grateful to Sam for her expertise and assistance, and for the friendly, positive, calm, and accommodating manner in which she approached our whole experience with her. I would warmly recommend her.

We are so grateful to have found Samantha. She has literally change my son‘s life over eight months.

His 2 year review with the health visitor flagged a speech issue but they weren’t too concerned. By the time he turned 3 it was clear there was a problem. Although understood at home, his peers at nursery couldn’t understand him and he had become withdrawn. We were having to translate for other people.

Samantha was very warm and welcoming. She managed to assess Samuel and explain his diagnosis & her plan to us clearly. We started weekly sessions and Samantha gave us bite-size repetitive task to focus on at home. Whilst daunting at first, we stuck firmly to the suggestions and were amazed at the speed at which someone improved.

Initially, because Samuel was so withdrawn, the sessions were quite tough. Samantha was friendly and knew exactly how to encourage and engage him. They quickly became easier as Samuel can see his own improvement. She encouraged partnerships with his nursery, spoke with them on my behalf so that we could work on the same strategy.

She was always full of ideas, as well as suggestions on how to approach NHS for in school help, although Samuel now doesn’t need this. His confidence at preschool improved - he made friends. Family friends can’t believe the changed in his personality as well as the obvious clarity of his speech.

Samantha had warned us that the problem was complex and may have taken much longer to fix. I think that our commitment at home and Samantha’s support in assisting us, really helped us to make great progress. Now Samuel can self-correct and has the tools to learn to pronounce new words correctly.

I hadn’t realised how complicated the process would be, but I was also fascinated to see the progress and want a change Speech Therapists makes to people’s lives. I highly recommend her.

Samantha was excellent with all the work she did towards our son’s speech. He is more fluent now, thinks faster and definitely shows improvement. All the sessions were well prepared, it’s been worked diligently with the client, amazing material to work at home. Very pleased with everything.

Excellent service received. You provided my son and myself with the skills necessary to produce all the sounds which he can now do and couldn’t before. My son enjoyed coming to the sessions, good rapport established and child friendly setting with appropriate incentives.

Thank you so much for your invaluable input.

Samantha has been wonderful with my boys who required help with their speech development. Following on from sessions with her we were given weekly exercises to practice at home and techniques to help improve their speech. Samantha has been training in orofacial myology and gave specific exercises alongside intervention to help them to achieve the movements required by their jaw, lips and tongue for specific sounds that were hard for them to achieve. She always made every session fun for them, and they really enjoyed going. We have seen such wonderful progress and cannot thank Samantha enough for all that she has done for them.
Mum, Shenley Herts Our daughter saw Sam for weekly sessions for a year. Sam and her sessions were excellent, and we have seen great improvements in our daughter’s speech development which has been noted at home as well as in school. We would highly recommend Sam – she is patient, very detailed in her approach and extremely professional. We would like to thank Sam for all her hard work.

Mrs Labriola, Potters Bar, Herts.

“We have worked with Samantha for nearly a year now to help with my 8-year-old sons clarity of speech. We initially saw Samantha in person but due to the pandemic we started doing teletherapy sessions. I would have never thought we could do teletherapy effectively with our son but amazingly Samantha has made this possible and has completely exceeded our expectations of teletherapy. Sessions are very well organised by Samantha. The sessions are very interactive, and Samantha is very animated and child friendly which helped engaged our son. She provides us with the resources and instructions that we need to support our son in between sessions.

Samantha has combined different speech and language therapy techniques and programmes to help with my son’s clarity of speech. Everything is broken down in an easy-to-follow way that has encouraged my son to use the correct Oro-motor movements that have supported clear sound production. As a result we are now seeing our son attempt to formulate clearer speech using the corrected Oro-motor movements in order to produce clearer speech sounds.

Samantha is highly skilled, caring and committed to her profession, helping many families and their children to the best of her ability. She is the best speech and language I have come across in the many years that we have been doing speech and language and I only wish I had found her sooner! I am so grateful for the progress we have made using teletherapy to run a speech programme and this is due to Samantha’s ability and hard work! ”.

Mrs Curral, Northwood Middlesex

“Sam is a true blessing. She helped my son Sebastien more than we ever could by ourselves and we will forever be grateful to her. He spoke only a handful of words when we first met and by the end of therapy, he had so many words and more importantly, we had the skills as parents to continue helping him. I’m especially grateful as I now have another baby and I already have the tools and knowledge to communicate with him in the most effective way.

Sam was also integral in communications with other healthcare professionals including the nursery, ensuring that we were all working on the same strategies. He is our first born and so with no knowledge of the system, she guided us so we knew which other professionals to contact for him. Sam is so professional but also warm and kind and I would highly recommend her. Thank you so much for everything Sam! ”.

Mrs Shutler, Edgware Middx

“I would like to take a few moments to express my sincerest gratitude for Sam’s assistance for our speech journey. My child was 2 years old when I met with Sam. With Sam’s help, my child was able to make sentences in a short time. She guided us for my child’s speech during covid it was so valuable having Sam’s assistance in this difficult time.

Sam is very organised and we as parents learned many techniques to expand our daughter’s vocabulary and my child progressed rapidly. Although I had some initial doubts having video meetings due to covid I saw that video meetings worked really well. Every week with a pre-organised schedule and fun activities my child enjoyed speaking through games. She always looked forward to meeting with Sam online. I would highly recommend Sam to my friends.

Thanks so much for everything you have done for our family! ”.

Mrs Ozguven, Barnet

“From our very first session, Sam instantly built a relationship with my son and made my him feel at ease. The games she played were fun and engaging, and relevant to helping him develop his speech and vocabulary, without him even realising. She explained every assessment and strategy she was using so it was clear to me what the issues were and how best to address them.

By the end of our time with Sam my son was more confident with his speech, and I now have lots of strategies and games to continue with at home to help his speech to continue to develop.
Thank you so much Sam! ”.

Mrs Levin, Borehamwood Herts

“We started our sessions with Sam over Zoom due to lockdown restrictions, Sam made a big effort to make the sessions engaging for our son by sourcing activities he enjoyed, as well as sending easy to follow plans and resources in advance to make sure the sessions were structured but also fun. Once we got to visit Sam in person my son was always excited to go and enjoyed taking part in all the activities without realising that he was learning at the same time. Sam also gave us really useful advice on getting support within the educational setting and was able to guide us towards securing a diagnosis for our son. I would highly recommend Sam’s services. ”.

Mrs Williams, Letchworth garden City Herts

“I would like to put on record my thanks and gratitude for all your help over the last near on 17 months with our grandson. From the day we met you ,my mind was put at ease and it only took a few sessions before our grandson started to get connected with you and then the work began. Taking in the last 18months when a number of sessions had to be postponed due to covid the help and new confidence that our grandson has obtained is truly astonishing.

The work you did with him on a one-to-one basis from the start was excellent. The way you got him interested in what you were getting him to do and keep his concentration up was excellent. There was never an issue if we contacted you after the session for help or advice as to what extra needed to be done.

This last 18 months for all children has been very challenging, however through it all you helped with keeping our grandson on track either with homework or zoom lessons.

I am more than happy to highly recommend you to any parent or grandparent whose child needs speech therapy.

Thank you again for all your assistance and as you mentioned we will keep you updated on his progress. ”.

A VERY VERY grateful grandparent Elstree Herts

Before we met Samantha, Jacob was a frustrated and shy child who couldn’t pronounce his own name properly, and we were worried parents with a son due to start school this September. We knew Jacob’s speech wasn’t perfect, but we didn’t know how to help him, and spent a lot of time “correcting” him and all being pretty upset.

Samantha’s SLT had an impact after the very first hour! She picked up on a problem other had failed to identify and tackled it head on. The learning was fun, and the “homework” wasn’t a chore because we literally started noticing a difference in the first two weeks. Jacob genuinely looked forward to his sessions and was always so keen to tell Samantha how he’d practised his exercises and learned how to say a new sound. Samantha jokes that she and Jacob were working on “magic tricks” but it really was the cleverest and most engaging experience!

Not only did Jacob’s speech improve but so did his confidence and Samantha gave us the tools to help him.  It was an emotional journey, but Samantha helped us prepare Jacob for toddlerhood and school in a way that she may not even realise, and we will always be grateful to her for that.

Mrs L Halhamy, Borehamwood Herts

“I just wanted to send you an email as we just returned from holiday.
Harrison was able to communicate with children around the pool like never before.
You have worked wonders on my son and I am extremely grateful.
Thank you so much for turning his life around”.

Mr M Nash, Radlett, Herts

The whole process has been brilliant. You immediately put my mind at ease with insightful play ideas to boost Arlo's speech and language development; the modelling of these strategies in action was just what we needed to continue to help him at home. Your careful planning of each session and follow up emails has meant we felt fully supported throughout the process. We have really enjoyed coming to the sessions and felt you empowered us at a time we felt a bit helpless. Thank you for everything!

Mrs Neill Barnet

Sam was extremely patient with my son. He is very active and doesn’t have a good attention span. Sam included games which involved him being active and kept him engaged. She built up a great relationship with him and his improvement in speech was huge and rapid.

I am so grateful for her time and effort in transforming his speech.

Mrs Goldstein, Borehamwood

Sam had an excellent understanding of our concerns regarding our child’s speech and tailored the sessions to his needs. Her engaging approach enabled our shy and quiet child make progress, even from the first session. We would highly recommend Sam and will work with her again ourselves if further speech therapy is required.

Mrs Spendiff, Hertfordshire

Samantha has been fantastic with L and has helped him to speak more clearly and confidently, which has changed his world. Samantha made sessions fun and interactive which meant L never thought that he was having to do much work (when in fact he was). Samantha's methods worked incredibly well, and I would recommend her unreservedly. Thank you from all of us.

Mrs Peters Barnet Herts

When I arrived at Sam my daughter was struggling hugely with her processing and her ability to recall language that was meaningful and more than one sentence. Sam was brilliant, not only did she build her confidence, but the strategies she gave her were tailored to her needs. Every lesson was planned meticulously, and she ensured that I had the appropriate skills to support my child at home. Sam is fun, caring and knowledgeable and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.

Mrs Durban Barnet Herts

I approached Samantha as I was concerned about my 4.5 year old son's speech (pronunciation), listening, understanding and recall of information. Sam was very responsive and managed to squeeze us into her very busy schedule as soon as possible, which I very much appreciated. She conducted the necessary assessment and put my mind at ease immediately.

Our sessions were once a week, and each week Sam would prepare appropriate exercises building up on the previous week's work. I was initially worried about my son not wanting to do as asked but Sam was indefinitely patient and efficient in dealing with him and kept pulling out of her magic draws the most exciting games in which all the three of us participated. My son and I always had lots of fun whilst Sam was working very hard observing and assessing during the play. Each week we were given homework which we always worked on as much as possible.

Soon after the first few sessions my son's pronunciation got much better which gave him confidence, and pride (instead of annoyance) when for example he was being corrected and then able to repeat correctly.  In time, he also developed his own strategies for recall. As for me, I am grateful to Sam for providing me with understanding of what the issues were and with the necessary tools and strategies to carry on with this work, which we continued to do to date. I believe it has improved my own thinking processes as well, since I am, as my son, bilingual.

My son was very disappointed when after a few months the sessions ended. He still keeps asking about going back.

Mrs S Weber St Albans Herts

I would highly recommend Samantha, my daughter has made great progress and her speech and confidence has improved.

This has given her more confidence in her reading and taking part in activities at school.

We appreciated the work and effort made by Samantha in making my daughter feel comfortable during her lessons and supporting her school with work they are doing with her.

Mr Metherell, St Albans Herts

Finding Samantha and introducing her into our son’s life was one of the best decision we have ever made!

We contacted Samantha after feeling frustrated at the progress and speed our local services were taking to help progress our son, who has a severe Speech disorder. Since then he has now been diagnosed with childhood Apraxia of Speech.
Samantha was a breath of relief for us!

Her dedication and commitment to helping our son was just so reassuring, and she gave us the hope we needed at that time to know N would progress.
Samantha is amazingly good at what she does and I am often blown away by how much she can achieve with N in sounding out words and sounds and getting the very best out of him.

N hit it off almost instantly with Samantha, with her friendliness and tactful work-through-play technique she won him over. Very important for us she is a super support, arming us with the tools and techniques we needed to be able to help N succeed and also helping us to understand speech difficulties better.

She too helped me (advised me) in kicking out some bad habits (dummy & bottle). My son was 3yrs at the time, so no longer needed both, and that was the kick I needed to put a stop to them, which was absolutely the best ever move, I just need push and Samantha gave me that.

Even more importantly our son has made huge progress and I could see it almost instantly, after only a few sessions he had progressed.

I can't thank her enough for the amount of dedication and thought she puts into each session, always making it interesting for N and always getting the most out of him without him even realising.

I would highly recommend Samantha and more.

I contacted Sam last year following a recommendation from a work colleague whose son Sam helped with his speech difficulties. My daughter who is now 4 was under the NHS for a severe delay in speech and not making any progress. The very few words she had she was pronouncing with a d and were inaudible. I am very thankful to Sam for working with my daughter to pronounce sounds I had never heard from her before. Sam worked with my daughter through games making it fun while learning, to join sounds to make words that people would be able understand in order to communicate with her. Sam was very helpful and knowledgeable pointing me in the right direction to services for a diagnosis of possible causes for the speech delay which is currently ongoing.

Sam was always prepared for each session and very patient and made me feel comfortable being there with my child.
Ms Conroy, Kingsbury Brent

We started seeing Sam with our third son in May 2015 when he was two and a half.  He had a speech delay and was communicating with sounds rather than language.

M’s nursery had failed to pick up on his delay even though I was concerned. His behaviour was beginning to be effected as he was frustrated. I decided to seek help in an independent speech and language therapist. Contacting Sam is the best thing we ever done!

Sam quickly identified the problem and her approach to helping our son has been amazing. He has come so far over the last year and this is all thanks to Sam's hard work.

She works above and beyond to help our son and gives as much advice and support as she can.

Our sessions are always made fun and my three-year-old treats them like a play date.

We are so thankful to Sam and we would highly recommend her and her approach.

I was very fortunate to find Samantha Lewis. I needed a structured language assessment for my five-year-old, who was struggling at school. She had a lovely rapport, which instantly put my son at ease. Her tips and techniques during the assessment for helping him have also been very useful. Best of all, she was able to pinpoint the areas that he requires most help in. She was also very good at making recommendations in other areas that should be investigated and through her contacts, we were able to pinpoint the root of my son's issue. I would have loved to have had Samantha as my son's weekly speech therapist, but as it is some distance away from us, she put us in touch with another excellent SALT, who is now helping my son. I would highly recommend Samantha if you are looking for an experienced speech therapist with lots of knowledge.

Samantha Lewis is an excellent Speech and Language Therapist: extremely organised, diligent, efficient, straightforward, and most of all, helpful. It was lovely to see H’s confidence grow throughout Sam’s sessions and to see H enjoy a relaxed relationship with Sam, despite the fact that he was having to endure working on a subject that did not come easy for him.

In all sessions, Sam exercised much patience as she asked H questions or ran through his homework. She even managed to make him laugh (and vice versa!) which I feel is always important. Humour is a godsend!

I understand SATS exams are merely a tool for schools rather than for the pupils. However, as a parent, using them as a guide to assess a child’s progress, I could never have hoped for such a good result for H this time last year. For H to have achieved Level 5 in a subject he found so difficult is amazing! I believe Sam has been instrumental in helping him to reach this standard and although I know he still has a way to go, Sam has put him on the right path!

I would highly recommend Sam to anyone.

Mrs K Woodward, Totteridge, London.

We started working with Sam in September 2014 when J was aged 3:5 and had been diagnosed with a severe speech disorder. At the time, he was missing a lot of basic sounds and to most people who did not know him well, his speech was incomprehensible. He spoke a few words (only up to a round 3 at a time). Our goal when we started therapy was that when J started in Reception in September 2015, he would be “in the pack” compared to other children.

From the outset, Sam was practical and helpful. She was keen to emphasise that putting a “label” to his speech issues was not necessary helpful, and this was reassuring in making us feel that this was not a “condition for life” but something that we could manage our way through together

Sam quickly devised us a programme which taught J all the basic speech sounds and how to put them together to make words, so by Christmas he was already much more intelligible and only lacking a few sounds. We began working on sentence structure and at the same time he continued to progress with the fluency of his words and ability to tackle longer words and more complex sentences.

He was signed off in July 2015 after nearly a year of therapy. Whilst he still has to work hard on his verbal communication, he has come a very long way and continues to improve every day. We now feel that we have the strategies that Sam taught us to continue to help him ourselves and know that Sam will continue to be able to support us if we need her again in the future.

Mrs Mussen, Croxley Green, Herts

Our son was experiencing language and developmental delays. We were extremely concerned for him and were fortunate to seek a consultation with Sam. She helped guide us and our son through his glue ear diagnosis and continued to work on his speech and language development. Our son has made great strides and we are most grateful to Sam for her approach. She has without doubt the best follow up of any medical developmental professional we have ever seen.

Mrs Kansagra, Radlett, Herts.

Thank you so much for your patience, hard work and kindness over the last few months – we have really noticed results with L and without your original alarm bell, our situation may have got worse, not better. We really appreciate all you have done – nursery liaison, advice and encouragement.

Mrs T Mendelson, Bushey, Herts.

Samantha quickly identified the problem and was able to explain mechanically how to fix it. Samantha was extremely efficient and clear in her consultation with us, which helped us get great results really quickly. We are so grateful to Samantha for heling us. She is an absolute professional and I would highly recommend her to friends and colleagues.

Mrs Insua, Stanmore, Middx

This is to confirm my sincere appreciation and thanks to a great professional. Samantha has been instrumental in advancing the speech capabilities of my 4 year old son D. Prior to her involvement, my son, who is exposed to three languages on a regular basis was quite unintelligible due to vowels being difficult to produce and lots of consonants mispronounced and omitted at the end of words. Samantha’s intervention was crucial. Alongside fun weekly activities that kept him motivated he was able to become intelligible within 6 months. I am truly grateful to Samantha and would highly recommend her services to future clients.

Mrs Bozo Edgware Middlesex

Samantha was a pleasure to work with to resolve my son’s speech difficulties. She was open and responsive from the minute I contacted her and very quick to provide helpful guidance even on the initial telephone call. Each session was a lot of fun she used games and humour to help him resolve his particular sound difficulties. She provided a lot of helpful materials for me to take away and work with and gave me a lot of guidance on how best to work with my child. I learnt as much from the sessions as my son, not just about speech but about how we learn and creative ways to help the process. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Samantha Lewis. She is not only experienced and professional, but also a pleasure to work with.

Mrs Collier St Albans, Hertfordshire

I decided to take my son aged 3 to see Sam after I was told by the NHS speech therapists that he had a severe speech disorder, they recommended he go to a special Nursery, unfortunately there were very few places and he didn’t get in. He was put on a waiting list for speech therapy. Six months later I was still waiting, my son had started at a local nursery school and was largely unintelligible to all but myself and his siblings. We went for an initial assessment in October where Sam confirmed the fact that he had a severe speech disorder. We went for weekly sessions with Sam which were based around play and went home with homework every week, again made to be fun. We are now in January and in less than 3 months after the initial assessment my son has been discharged and is speaking as any normal 3 year old, his confidence has improved and everyone who hears him is amazed at the turn around. I can’t recommend Sam highly enough, now my son is able to communicate and I no longer have to translate for him!

Mrs Waller, Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire

Since beginning lessons with Sam significant improvements in my son's speech were noticeable almost immediately. He became a happier child showing increased confidence and far less frustration. He developed a great relationship with Sam and enjoyed weekly sessions improving his speech but also learning to listen, take turns and follow instructions. Lessons were fun and varied but very focused and Sam was always quick to move on when necessary. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sam's services to anyone with any concerns about their child's speech and language.

Mrs Buttterworth, St Albans Hertfordshire

Samantha Lewis helped me enormously when my son had speech difficulty when he was 8 years old. She saw him on numerous occasions and worked with him on a one to one basis. She also referred my son to an ENT consultant who investigated further into the issue at the time.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Samantha Lewis for speech therapy. I was extremely impressed with not only her knowledge of the subject, but also her professional approach.

Mrs Goodkind, Stanmore Middx

In November 2013 I contacted Sam concerning my Grandson J. He had been attending speech therapy with the NHS but was making no progress and both my Son and Daughter in Law were becoming increasing concerned that J was becoming aware that he couldn’t talk like other boys and girls and was becoming isolated and nervous in company.
Sam assessed J and diagnosed a severe speech disorder but quickly took us under her wing and in six months has completely changed our little boy’s life.
Sam has worked tirelessly to make the sessions meet J’s needs, they are always fun and include work that we have been able to continue at home.  Her enthusiasm, natural ability to make him at ease and her continual praise has meant that when he started at Widford School last week he had no problem communicating with teachers and fellow pupils. Initially we thought that he would be concentrating on key words to make himself understood and in fact he is confidently putting together sentences.
We can’t thank Sam enough and although she hasn’t quite got rid of us yet we continually say ‘where would we have been without her – at exactly the same place as the day we met her!’

Mrs Rowley, Hoddesdon Hertfordshire.

We were very lucky to find Samantha when our son was 3, he was diagnosed with a severe speech disorder and we were awaiting help from the NHS. She quickly engaged with him and assessed and developed a therapy plan that was fun for him and easy for me to continue at home.  The sessions were fun and lively so he was able to concentrate for long periods, which has set the foundation for his ongoing learning and motivation.  From initially being told he may need special schooling by the health services, he is now a completely happy 6 year old with near normal speech, ahead of his school targets and not needing therapy.  Samantha is extremely skilled at her role and in my opinion goes to every length to ensure that everything is done in the best interests of your child.

My son has been seeing Sam for the last 18 months.  She makes learning easy and fun.  When he first came he was so behind in his speech and language and now he can communicate with family and friends.   He has gone from not talking at all, to someone who can't stop! - to someone who is understanding the world around him.Going to Sam has changed him so much and has made such a difference to all our lives.

Sam Lewis has been a life saver for us and our now three year old daughter. She picked up her undiagnosed 'glue ear' and has taught her to speak via her enthusiastic teaching and with such patience too.  It has transformed my daughter’s life.

I first met Samantha when she came into the school where I teach to work to see a child with speech difficulties in my class.  I was incredibly impressed with how she managed the child and how quickly a fantastic working relationship developed between them.

When my own daughter was diagnosed with speech difficulties and referred to a speech therapist, I did not hesitate to pick up the phone to Samantha to ask her to help.

The sessions were always varied and fun and my daughter loved them, so much so she would ask every morning if we could go to Samantha’s house that day. Samantha provided work for me to do at home so that I could continue the work that had gone on in the sessions. This was always explained in great detail and she taught me how to make it into a game so that it was fun.

I couldn’t believe how quickly my daughter’s speech was improving and this was really brought home to me when people we hadn’t seen in a while would comment and say how amazing her speech now was.

Samantha has an amazing rapport with the children and definitely brings the best out in them, which only means faster and more effective results.

We were sad when our sessions with Samantha ended, but obviously thrilled with the progress our daughter had made. Now I always recommend Samantha to anyone that needs referring to a speech therapist.

We are delighted with the progress that our son has made since seeing Sam.  We were seeing a speech therapist on the NHS and we didn't feel that his speech improved at all.

Sam has a very good rapport with our son and makes the sessions into a fun game so speech therapy is something he looks forward to and is not a chore.
Sam also explains clearly what we need to do at home after the sessions so that we can reinforce her work.
